We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including for the Property Watch address-alert service.

Property Watch Alerts

If you sign up for a Property Watch alert (to be notified when a specific address comes up for sale), we collect your email address, and optionally your phone number, along with the address(es) you ask us to monitor.

This information is used only to send you the alert(s) you requested and to follow up with you personally about those properties. We do not sell, rent, or share Property Watch signup information with any third party, affiliate, advertiser, or other company, for marketing or any other purpose. It is used solely by Brian Danyliw and his team at Sotheby's International Realty Canada to serve the alert you signed up for.

Every alert email includes sender identification and a working unsubscribe link. You can also ask to be removed from Property Watch at any time by emailing brian.danyliw@sothebysrealty.ca.

Information We Collect

We may collect personal information — such as your name, email address, phone number, or mailing address — when you fill out a form on this site, such as a contact form, home evaluation request, listing inquiry, or Property Watch signup. We collect this information to respond to your request, provide the service you asked for, and comply with applicable law.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to fulfill the specific request you made — for example, to answer a question, send requested property information, or deliver a Property Watch alert. Outside of Property Watch (see above), we may also use contact information to follow up about your real estate needs, or, with your consent, to send you market updates or newsletters. You can opt out of these communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us directly.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, or if necessary to protect our rights, property, clients, or others from harm.

We may share aggregate, anonymized data (for example, general visitor statistics) that does not identify you personally.

Canadian Privacy Law

This site operates in Canada and handles personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Commercial electronic messages (such as email alerts) are sent in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL): we obtain your consent before sending, clearly identify the sender, and include a functioning unsubscribe mechanism in every message.
